1. How to request account deletion

You can delete your Chromatica account directly in the app under Settings > Account > Delete account. This is the primary deletion method.

To protect your account, the app asks you to confirm your identity before deletion. Email/password accounts require the current password; Google accounts require confirmation with Google again.

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to hello@mothlumestudio.com using the subject Chromatica Account Deletion.

Whenever possible, send the request from the email address associated with your Chromatica account so we can verify that you are the account owner.

Verified deletion requests will be processed within a reasonable period.

2. What will be deleted

When deletion is completed in the app, Chromatica removes the Firebase Authentication account and its associated account identifier and sign-in information. It also deletes the private Cloud Firestore data synchronised for that account and clears the corresponding local app data on that device.

• Your Chromatica Firebase Authentication account and associated account identifier.
• The email address and profile information held by the authentication method for your Chromatica sign-in.
• Your private synchronised paint collection and quantities.
• Your private synchronised wishlist.
• Your private synchronised Sets and Subsets.
• The collection, wishlist and Sets stored locally by Chromatica on the device where you complete deletion.

3. Google accounts

Deleting your Chromatica account does not delete your Google account. If you used Google to sign in, you may also revoke Chromatica's access through your Google account settings.

4. Shared set codes

Shared set codes are fixed, independent copies that are not linked to the publishing account. Publishing shared set codes is a Premium feature and requires a signed-in Chromatica account to reduce abuse. The published shared set document does not store the UID, email address or account name of the publishing user. For this reason, shared set codes are not automatically deleted when that account is deleted.

5. Information that may be retained

Published shared Set codes may remain because they are fixed anonymous copies not linked to the publishing account. Shared Set moderation reports may also be retained where reasonably necessary to review reports, prevent abuse or protect the service. Limited information may otherwise be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or compliance with legal obligations.

6. Google Play Premium

Deleting a Chromatica account does not cancel or remove a Chromatica Premium purchase made through Google Play. Google Play purchase entitlement is independent of Chromatica login. Manage Google Play purchases through your Google Play account, subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
